How long does it take to become a black belt?

The journey to black belt in Kyokushin Martial Arts varies for each individual and depends on factors such as aptitude, dedication, consistent training, and attendance. On average, it takes approximately four to six years to achieve a black belt rank. Remember, the belt system is a reflection of your progress, and each belt brings new skills and knowledge.

Do I need to have previous experience?

No, previous experience is not required to start training in Kyokushin Martial Arts. Our classes are structured to accommodate students of all skill levels, ranging from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. Our experienced instructors will guide and support you throughout your martial arts journey, regardless of your starting point.

Are there any age restrictions for joining?

We welcome students from ages 3+ in our martial arts classes. We have programs specifically designed for children, teenagers, and adults. Whether you are looking to enroll yourself or your child, we offer age-appropriate classes with a curriculum specifically tailored to meet the needs and abilities of each age group.

How can martial arts improve my fitness and overall well-being?

Martial arts training provides a total-body workout that improves cardiovascular health, strength, flexibility, and endurance. It enhances muscular coordination, core stability, and balance. My child is on the Autism Spectrum - how can martial arts help?

 Do I need to purchase any equipment or uniforms before starting?

During your trial period, you are not required to purchase any equipment. We provide a free gi (uniform) when you claim your 2 week trial.. If you are just trying a free lesson, we recommend wearing comfortable workout attire, such as a t-shirt, athletic pants, and suitable training shoes. Once you decide to continue training, our instructors will guide you on the appropriate equipment and uniform required for your continued progress in Kyokushin Martial Arts.
